Blue Damsel Fish At Starfish Island Honda Bay

At Starfish Island Honda Bay, not only you can find star fish, but also you can find various reef fish. And I think this place is a good snorkeling site. I was able to capture this small blue damsel fish.

How To Get Here (DIY Style):
* From PPC Airport, ride a tricycle going to the Market (To Sta Lourdes Tricycle Station). Fare is P10/person or more, tricycle from the airport usually overcharges.
* At the Market terminal, tricycle will only leave if all the 5 seats are filled up. Fare is P20/person. Buy your packed lunch and snacks here at the market before riding the tricycle (my estimate is P100/person).
* The tricycle will drop you at Sta Lourdes Pier. Then go to the Tourist Center Desk to tell them that you will just share boat rent with others. Or you may rent your own boat there.
* For an itinerary like Starfish-Snake-Pambato, the boat rent for 6Pax is 1500/boat. Therefore P250/person.
* Entrance Fee: Starfish = 50/Pax, Pambato Reef =50/Pax
* Tables at Snake Island = Free
* Bring Snorkel & Fins. Or rent it. I think price is P150/person for snorkel and P150/person for fins.
* Return to PPC: There are tricycle plying the Sta Lourdes Peir – PPC Bayan route. If none, walk from pier to highway, then ride any jeep/bus/tricyle going to PPC. Fare = P20/person.

Tour Cost Summary (Peso/Person)
* Tricycle, Airport-Market = P10
* Tricycle, Market-Sta Lourdes = P20
* Boat Rent Share at 6pax = P250
* Entrance Fees = P100
* Snorkel & Fins = P300
* Packed Lunch & Snacks = P100
* Tricycle, Sta Lourdes-PPC = P20
* TOTAL = P800/Person

Snake Island – Honda Bay

Snake Island in Honda Bay was the place where I discovered that snorkeling is the activity I want to do in every travels I make. This is where I started to become a snorkeling addict. I do not know how swim, I do not know how to snorkel; all I did there was dip – water chest high – and feed the fish with a bread. And now, looking back at the same place, I am now seeing the beyond the sights I saw underwater during that time. It was such a big difference. Before, I was contented seeing the black striped little fish that always like to eat bread. Now, I can see bigger fish and more other kinds of fish by snorkeling further. Snake Island in Honda bay would always have a historical mark in my heart.

Legaspi Grand Terminal 2010

I think I was last here in Legaspi year 2009, for a Donsol tour. And this bus terminal does not look like this. And look at the picture now, the terminal looks neat!

What’s great here is that this terminal is just in front of Savemore. With a Hypermarket nearby, it could only mean no-overpriced goods, and cheaper price goods. You could also take a quick lunch or meal in the booth located inside the hypermarket.
